Exploring the World (SLJ)

Hey Bloggers! Today I am doing a post on Setting Sail, for Summer Learning Journey. (SLJ) People in the Pacific are fantastic explorers and navigators. They use the stars, sun and ocean to navigate the way on the ocean. It can be called Way-Finding. 
A person named Nainoa Thompson used this ancient knowledge to navigate around the world on canoes called Hokule’a and Hikianalia.
Imagine what food you would take on the boat or canoe! There is no freezer, fridge, oven or microwave remember.

10 Types of Food I would take is...

  1. Donuts
  2. Carrots
  3. Apples
  4. Oranges
  5. Potatos
  6. Eggs
  7. Hams
  8. Cupcakes
  9. Watermelons
  10. Bananas
I would take these because they are yummy and some of them can last for a long time. Some of them are healthy and can improve our health.

    You have picked some of my favourite foods! I LOVE apples and cupcakes. I like that you have chosen a good mix of healthy foods, like fruit, but also some yummy treats like donuts! I can tell that you've thought hard about your list, because you're right; a lot of those can last a long time, although you might have to eat the cupcakes and donuts quickly!

    I hope that you are enjoying your summer holidays and I hope that you will continue blogging with us.

  3. Kia Ora Dustine. I love these types of foods. As Brax said, why would you bring an Egg? Do you mean boiled egg, scrambled egg, cooked egg? It can't be raw! Anyway, back to your Summer Snacks you chose. Why did you choose Potatoes? Just wondering. Alright now back onto the Summer Snacks you chose. Yummy Watermelon! This can cool you down when you are hot (Your Temperature) And it's very very soothing. Did you know Watermelon is actually a berry 🍉? Time for Oranges and Apples!? What a Healthy decision Dustine! What kind of apples? Granny Smith 🍏 or Red Delicious 🍎? I like Granny Smith. Even though it's a bit sour. Sorry it's time for Oranges. 🍊 I don't like Oranges but I like Orange juice! Why didn't you put a drink in your list? Well you did say food not beverages. Did you know that a 🍊 is the largest citrus fruit in the world? So that's a great choice. Cupcakes?! On a trip over water? They might get wet unless you keep them in a tiny little plastic box. What Flavor? Chocolate🍫 Strawberry🍓 Or Vanilla🌼 ? Doughnuts 🍩 yum! again what flavor? Chocolate🍫 Strawberry🍓 or Vanilla🌼 ? I like Chocolate! I have a Chocolate Doughnut every morning sometimes. Well this comment might be a little out of hand... Sorry Dustine! But I have to go now!
